today I'm extra excited to start the day...it's day 3 of Newton's Nook Designs April release!

and oh my gosh you guys...this release is so completely amazing! I'm in LOVE with each new set, and I can't wait for you all to see it, too! it's so spring, and new beginnings and FUN!
today we my favorite set of the release...Umbrella Pals Stamp Set + coordinating Die
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on April 20th, right here!

I am soooo in love with this set!!!
my first card used the panda umbrella because my oldest little Mann LOOOOOOOVES pandas!

eeeeek!! he's so cute!!
ok, so I colored in the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut them out!
the background used the Cloudy Sky Stencil and some white embossing paste! LOVE the texture that adds!!

then I used Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade to add some blending to the bottom corner of the card! like sunshine!

I also splattered color and white acrylic ink over the area!

my second card is my first time ever making this long-shaped card!!

I don't know what the shape size is 'called' but it fits into a standard letter/bill envelope!
I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot and Peacock Feathers to create the rainy sky! oh, and then I trimmed a long piece of white cardstock with the Sky Borders Die to create the cloudy border!

and all of my animal umbrellas are rainbow colored!! eeeeee!! i love them all and want them!!
I could seriously look at this card all day! I LOVE how it came out, and it makes me happy!!

what are some other umbrella shapes we need for this line?! here are my ideas (are you listening Jennifer?!?!) llama
flamingo
rabbit
puppy

ha ha! I seriously want them all! ha!

Newton's Nook Designs April Release - Wedding Frills Stamp Set + coordinating Die and Floral Lace Stencil

hello and welcome to day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs April release!

and oh my gosh you guys...this release is so completely amazing! I'm in LOVE with each new set, and I can't wait for you all to see it, too! it's so spring, and new beginnings and FUN!
today we have a new stamp set/dies and a new stencil: Wedding Frills Stamp Set + coordinating Die and Floral Lace Stencil
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on April 20th, right here!

first, I created a card with just the stencil!

ok, I also used a stamp from the Birthday Essentials stamp set! you got me!
but that background - all the stencil!! and isn't it gorgeous?!

first I used white embossing paste over the stencil, removed the stencil and let it dry. once it was dry, I placed the stencil back on, and rubbed in some color with gelatos and Distress Crayons!! LOOOOOOOOOVE how bright the colors on!! and it was SO FUN!

the aforementioned sentiment was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then fussy cut out! love it!!

for my 2nd card I went monochromatic!!

it's totally something different for me! first of all, I didn't use white cardstock!! shcoking!! second, I don't usually do monochromatic! but I do LOVE how this card came out!

I heat embossed the flowers (gorgeous!) in white and then used Picked Raspberries and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks to ink blend over them until the middle.
then I splattered some color over the area too!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white on vellum, and then fussy cut out. and I finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins!
definitely SUPER girly, but I can get away with it because it's for a wedding, right?! ha!

and here's my SUPER FUN graduation themed card!

I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, and the used the coordinating dies to cut it out! I also gave Newton that fun little cap!

I used the new Essential Alphabet Dies to create part of the sentiment!

after I lined up the letter dies and die cut them out, I backed the area with some watercolor paper I created with Distress Oxide Inks (Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberries)! LOVE the little water drop areas peeking through the letters!

I finished off the card by popping up the newton image and heat embossing the rest of the sentiment!

oh man, I'm soooo excited to share my cards using the April release from Create a Smile Stamps!! It's an incredible release, and I can't wait to see what you all make with it!

my first card uses the new Lettering Alphas stamp set!

I am seriously IN LOVE with this stamp set! it's so gorgeous and sooooo versatile!
I heat embossed the letters in white and then did some ink blending with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, Black Soot and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks (and looooots of splattering! ha!)

the flowers were watercolored with Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Inks! LOVE this card!

my second card uses the new flowery stencil!

I used the stencil as a stamp!
I ink blended ONTO the stencil, spritzed with water and the pressed it down onto my white cardstock!

I fussy cut out the flower image, and the popped it up with foam tape and added some amazing Pretty Pink Posh Sequins!
I love using the stencils in this unique way!

my last card was created with the Fun Flowers stamp set!

sooooo pretty! and I'm not even a purple person!! ha!
I stamped the flowers in Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks and the leaves in the Twisted Citron Oxide Ink!
then I used the same colors to ink blend around the stamped iamges!!

the sentiment was heat embossed in black onto vellum and then I fussy cut it out and popped oit up with foam tape!
